Where art thou?
200 million Indian Muslims don’t have a single school to cater/better the vision of Hazrat Moulana Ali Miyan Nadwi(RA). He envisioned “schools with highly skilled professional alumni (re)presenting Islam between its two extreme interpretations, Liberalism and Radicalism.”
Muslims in Numbers
Muslims in India- 16%.
Muslims at elite institutes – 2.7%.
Muslim teens(UG) at elite institutes – 1.3%.
Our Schools
While most of the Muslim schools(/Muslims in schools) are academically poor or worse, those privileged are yet to make any significant impact into STEM without ascribing to the two extremities.
Our Professionals
Most of the higher education graduates are barely educated to think beyond their existential needs. And, almost all of the remaining (very)few either expunge/critical/mock the moderate/common Islamic way of life or interpret Islam radically. Either-way, higher education produce in Indian Muslim society is mostly limited to self-centrics or societal belligerents.
Muslims in Olympiads
India’s 36 years of participations in various (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)STEM Olympiads is yet to witness a Muslim member. Hence, the “education icons” of the Indian Muslim society are absolutely obsolete and need replacement(s).
We hope that the young blood would truly represent the community’s intellectual capabilities that we couldn’t.
At SWAL, we seek to mentor at varied levels to achieve the desired intellectual skills and knowledge leading to to-be leaders in STEM (re)presenting a common household of the Indian Muslim community.
